As I am specifically trying to speed up the AmigaOS4 version, by using Hardware Brushes, but I only have Flowerpot emulation to test it, I am therefore wondering if anyone here knows if Flowerpot is able to emulate Hardware Brushes, and how well?
For it seems like I am getting a little boost, but not much, by using Hardware Brushes, but is this because it doesnt make that much difference, or is it a shortcoming of Flowerpot?
As in, Hardware brushes are supposed to use GPU, but when emulating GPU in flowerpot, what does it actually do? Just keep it compatible, or actually go to my machines GPU and use it?
By other words, can I even figure out the speed of my game in Emulated hardware?
Does FlowerPot Emulation also emulate Hardware Brushes properly?
Re: Does FlowerPot Emulation also emulate Hardware Brushes properly?
Flowerpot is nothing more or less than winuae
Winue uses a classic amiga with ppc603 and winuag gfx
I dont know your answer but it wont speed a lot by definition
For "modern" amiga emulation , mostly nowdays they prefer qemu wich. Can emulate a pegasos2 among other "amiga hardware" so both amigaos4 and mos is better there
Compatible gfx card (ati ) is also prefered in PC side
For easy qemu configuration you can use "kyvos" by walkero
