Google Playstore Release - How to do?

Post by LarsB »

Hello friends,

I`m active with Hollywood again. It was a strange journey thats behind me. But now I want to release a game on Google Playstore. Does anybody know how to do this?

Best regards,

Getting apps on Google Play is rather rocket science now, I've given up getting the Hollywood Player on Google Play because of all the new regulations and hoops you have to jump through. But it should still be possible if you have enough time to work your way through the process ;)

Lets know how you are doing.
No doubt it is a lot to go through. But perhaps its easier when you do a first release, because it is a step-by-step process you must go through.
For maintaining an existing app I found it frustrating when they came up with new requirements and I felt clueless about where to start in order to resolve the issues.

I gave up, too. I never got my DUNS number and had issues with the privacy declaration (I added those files, but…). The number of issues shrinked after I put some effort into that. But it didn‘t do a good math: way too much work for maybe a dozen users…

I think it’s probably better to support some other .apk deposit like aptoide or f-droid. Google became a PITA these days (once upon a time their slogan was „don‘t be evil“ - long time ago…).
