I am logged out regularly when trying to reply to some threads. Particularly annoying when having written a long post which is then kicked off into oblivion.
Is this a common problem?

@ oceanarts
I too have had this problem lately. I now write my post in a text editor and paste it in.

Re: Forum Problems?
Yes, it's a known issue. The reason is that the forum now sits behind Cloudflare to beat the AI bots which were hammering the forum with like 5000 requests in a few seconds which was too much for the server to handle so the site became unusable. Using Cloudflare successfully keeps the bots out but unfortunately, I've also experienced the log out problem since I switched to Cloudflare and I'm not really sure what's the cause but I haven't really closely examined it yet. So until this is fixed I always copy my posts to the clipboard before hitting "Submit" or "Preview" so nothing gets lost in case I'm logged out.

Btw, ticking the "Remember me" checkbox tends to prevent auto logout but not always. Still, when I use "Remember me" autologout occurs less often.

Re: Forum Problems?
I've now installed a phpbb extension that claims to be able to fix those Cloudflare problems. I've done a few quick tests and I couldn't reproduce the auto logout issue any longer. If anybody still encounters problems, please let me know.

I had to log in just a moment ago.
