What formats would you suggest using for animation sequences when considering file size vs quality while being palette based? And what software would you advice using to produce them?
Also, what formats are supported when it comes to tracker mods? I need at least 8 channels for what I'm thinking of doing. I believe a mod would require less space than a full audio file, but I could be wrong.

Re: Multimedia Formats
I just have very poor playback performance on emulated Amiga environments with certain formats. Trying to find a perfect balance.

Re: Multimedia Formats
What is poor? Slow or quality ?
An emulated amiga (winuae) should vo way faster than the real thing as of today PC hardware
If you want speed in old machines you must go for CDXL , fat-weigrh but faster...

Re: Multimedia Formats
Well, it's mostly the playback speed. I get a couple of frames per second sometimes. AVI works best as I recall (I tried many different things), but the file size is massive.
I thought maybe I could convert an image sequence into an iff anim that could possibly work better. I don't know.

Re: Multimedia Formats
Iff anim and cdxl is similar technical and in size
Which is....bigger than avi.. (but avi depend on code. Not all avi are the same)
Im general best speed is with cdxl . And size ia huge
