hollywood on icaros 1.4?

hello hello all !

i just installed aspireos on netbook and installation failed, i think about
the arm processor ?

anyne had tried on aros 1.4 ? i just have to buy a new aresone and
then i would be cooooool to have hollywood on this amiga ng too

It's is certainly not a CPU issue. Both AspireOS and Icaros are x86 only , thus your netbook probably is not using an ARM processor.

Did you try to install Hollywood by clicking on Install icon on the CD ?

I had the same problems. After many unsuccessful attempts, I told Wanderer to show also files without icon I then discovered that hidden file called AROS.txt which states that automatic installation on AROS is not supported (neither via Installer nor via Dos Batch script). You have to follow the instructions in that file and manually install it. It's confusing that this info is not given more visable on the CD. And providing at least a simple batch file for installation would have been a good idea. Especially as AROS is also used by people without Amiga experience and Wanderer is not very comfortable for file management...

i was sure this computer was arm based !

then yes i will tried manual config as yoou told me, as soon i hope
on my new aresone gift by a friend, good compute in dual boot
with debian ever of ubuntu ))
