Hi!

I have tried Aros several time in the last years. It is progressing slowly, but this time it has an installer and it was the first time I could install it to a hard disk. The main reason was to test my recent hollywood applications. Unfortunately there was several problems and none of my projects worked well.

Andreas, do you need bug reports from Aros? It is a very varying system, so hard to tell which problem worth the time to look for.

NO!!!! :)

Well, the problem with AROS is, it's beta and yes, the internals are still changing. Thus, old versions of Hollywood for AROS might reference wrong offsets of OS structures and lots of other stuff. The only thing that would help here is that I compile a new version of Hollywood for AROS, but I can't do that every two months.

The AROS version of Hollywood *is* stable. But only with the AROS release that it was built with. The current Hollywood version was built with the AROS version from March 4th 07. That's a long time ago, in open source terms :)

I hope that the AROS people get their API fixed very soon so that in the future we can have a Hollywood version that will just work on AROS.

So, please don't send AROS bug reports, because it's most likely AROS' fault. I'll start taking bug reports from AROS as soon as the API is fixed, and there are no more application breaking changes in the OS structures.
