Even after a reboot, I still have the same problem.

Hmm... do you have another copy of reqtools.library somewhere else? Make sure that Hollywood tries to open LIBS:reqtools.library. You can check that with SnoopDOS.

Make sure LIBS:reqtools.library is the sole copy of reqtools.library on your HD. Also, make sure that you don't run any patches that install a dummy reqtools.library in memory! Type "Version reqtools.library FULL" in a shell to see which version of reqtools the system uses. The output must be equal to be "Version LIBS:reqtools.library FULL".

Really, it must work!

This is the version number of reqtools.library from your archive: 38.1436 (02/20/1997)

Does this sound correct?

Code: Select all

Output from SnoopDos when I start my program:
1 ramlib Open LIBS:reqtools.library Read OK
2 ramlib ChangeDir Env:
3 ramlib Open Elf.LazyBinding Read Fail
4 ramlib ChangeDir Work:Hollywood/NewTest
5 ramlib Open LIBS:reqtools.library Read OK
Let me know if you want me to test anything else.

I'm awfully sorry for the inconvenience. Seems like I bundled the wrong version.

Here's an updated archive: http://www.airsoftsoftwair.de/binary/reqtoolsOS4.lha

Copy its contents to LIBS:, reboot, and then it WILL work for sure :)

Works great now. Thanks!

Would it be OK if I (or you) uploaded the archive of your reqtoolsOS4 to OS4 Depot? That way everyone with OS4 could have access to it?

Sure, you can do that.
