Hello

If i'm to build an infochannel-system, i have to add a screen - either a monitor og a flatscreen-TV (LCD). The prices are very different, and a large LCD-TV is cheaper than a smaller Monitor.. But as i understand it, os4 doesn't support a connection to other than regular monitors..

So what exactly is missing to be able to connect an OS4-machine to a LCD-TV ? I know this question is not 100% hollywood-related, but hollywood is still the reason i ask..

How hard would it be to implent a solution ? it should atleast support 1024*768 (or some kind of widescreen-screenmode).

Who should i contact in order to get this problem fixed ?

Best regards Torgeir

You're right about the LCD TV not being supported under OS4. It's because the drivers aren't available for the TV-out jacks on the graphics card. If you get a flat-panel monitor for a computer it will work fine. Right now I'm not too sure about the new proposed systems for AmigaOS 4. If they come out at all, they might only support monitor output.
I'm on registered MorphOS using FlowStudio.

Hello Torgeir

Possible solutions:

1. Try to find an LCD-TV with vga connector.

2. If the TV only has HDMI or DVI you can use converters (google: vga to dvi or dvi to hdmi)

3. Because the lack of OS4 capable hardware, you have to wait and maybe the new hw will have working S-Video and/or composit output.

Screenshots please! :)
