Hi!

If you want to use Hollywood on OS4 for an application such as a info terminal I suggest you this thread on Amigans.net:

In order to have the presentation run after Workbench starts up you could try putting the compiled Hollywood script in the WBStart drawer and set the icon to have the DONOTWAIT tooltype defined.

Hello

We are currently working on something like this.. an info-channel using hollywood. So a solution to make the machine restart by itself if it chrashes would be of great help.

Have you found a way to make a hollywood-prestentation start by itself? once the workbench is loaded ?

best regards Torgeir -aka- fuskoSCN

Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell.
I'm on registered MorphOS using FlowStudio.

Hello Samuel

Thanks alot!.. by adding both the exe-file and a few drawers to wbstartup-drawer, the presentation started once the OS was loaded. However, the mousepointer is shown in the top left corner, and i have to push in the presentation to make it go away.

Is there a way to make it start without showing the mouse-pointer ? I want to sell the info-systems/machines without a mouse added, to stop the customers messing things up ;) I want it to be as easy to use as possible, and start and shut downt with the powerbutten - so it would be great if the pointer wasn't shown ..

best regards Torgeir :)

Hello

sorry about spamming the forum with lots of post :)

The mousepointer was shown because of an error that "popped" up at startup. The error wasn't shown onscreen because of the running presentation... i fixed it, and now the presentation starts without showing the mousepointer. Really sweet!

Hollywood and os4 is really amazing :) Now i have to wait for new amiga-hardware to appear before i can finish my product.

Torgeir:)

Hello Philippe

I could ofcourse post some screenshots, but i doubt you would find it very interesting :)

The infochannel i'm working on is going to be sold to dentists (to be used in the waitingroom, to inform patients, show what is possible with treatment, and so on..) (the text is also written in norwegian)

It is still very much work in progress - I'm working on several modules/themes, where each theme gives info about a specific topic within dentistry. So at the moment i draw illustrations (finally i'm able to make use of the little experience i gathered as a graphician in the demoscene).. gather photos from my patients, write text and so on..

I have also hired a french demo-scener to make some backgroiund-art to the infochannel.. at the moment i'm using a background i made myself, but that isn't good enoiugh.

The screenshots looks rather simple, but running in hollywood i think it looks nice.. crossfading text, pictures and so on.. hollywood is really a nice app.

Torgeir :)
