Focus / Cycle to Gadget

Hi,
You know this advanceoncr property? Its really great and everything, but sometimes annoying because I cannot find a way to set/reset focus to a particular gadget within the cyclechain... is this possible at all?
If I open and close windows along the course of the program flow the cyclechain position is remembered all the time, this can often be inconvenient and cause human-computer design issues.
