Amiga Platforms

Just curious what platforms people use to quench their Amiga appetite.
Personally I've used FS-UAE on Linux, but it doesn't work anymore apparently. So, it's WinUAE through Wine then.
But I'm getting a little tired of having all these layers of emulation to get things running. Wish Aros had a RPI port, then I'd definitely use that. And I've been looking at an Imac to run MorphOs, anybody have any experience with that?

I'm using MorphOS on a Mac mini daily, and do all my Hollywood development on it. I think it's the most mature, advanced, and polished Amiga compatible platform there is. It has some features that I can't live without anymore, so going back to any other variant is out of the question as long as I have hardware to run it (and I have a dozen) :) Only classic gaming is done on real A1200 setups, because I don't like emulators... and well, I have to do testing of my Hollywood programs under emulated setups for OS4, AROS, etc., but it's quite minimal use.

I'm seriously considering investing in a ppc mac and MorphOS. It's a little expensive for me right now, but it'd be worth it from what I've read and researched.

I got my A500 back in the early 90s, but I sold a few years later to fund my musical ambition which of course lead nowhere.
Then I got an A1200 as an adult and beefed it up with an 040, 16mb ram an IdeFix card and a cd-rom drive connected to a cable hanging out of the case. Again I sold it. And I regret it badly. Miss that thing so much.

Stuck with emulation now, which is fine, but a pain when it randomly crashes for unknown reasons. Using Pimiga4 on an Rpi4 is probably the best experience I've had with emulation thus far. I love it.

I used Amikit for a good while too, it was great (and probably still is). But then I discovered that an update had removed all things russian which left a bad taste in my mouth. I am of the opinion that software should remain non-political, but that's me.

Yeah, I agree that these things should be non-political, but on the other hand, I think that politics and war of aggression are totally different things. I can agree that this insane attack to an independent country, with loss of hundreds of thousands of lives, is worth of actions and opinions. It is far from politics, politics should be non-violent actions.

Or half of the cost, because MorphOS costs 79 euros :)

I've got my dozen of MorphOS compatble computers for 40-100 euros each.

I should clarify that I don't think anyone should abandon their principles or moral conviction, but consider that already small and fragmented communities risk getting further dispersed in the wake of all this. Communities of people that gravitate towards something simply for the love of it. Whatever our leaders and governments do is a little out of our hands, especially where elections don't really change much.
There have already been open-source projects that have been "pitch-forked" because of political debate creating confusion in the market. I just think it's sad.

Got my eyes on a couple of machines going for around 50-100 euros. But as I understand not every model is supported.
