APNG problems loading some animations

Post by Juan Carlos »

I found some problems loading APNG animations because Hollywood does not recognize them, but the worst is that saving one gif animation as apng or png neither the plugin load/open this animation, the animations are playing perfect with browsers or XNView.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I did the test on Windows 7 and AmigaOS 3.9 with the Kubus png animation and with an animation gif converted with one AnimConverter to know if the Kubus apng has some extra dates, but even with my animation apng converted the problem is the same, upload humm, I'll have in my site to test, but is easu with the apng animations in Internet.

Ok, here is first example:
https://www.morguesoft.eu/Fotos/Kubus.png
This is a official apng animation.

The second:
https://www.morguesoft.eu/Fotos/GirlEvolution.png
This animation was converted from gif to apng. (Note: I did the same conversion to Amiga iff, even from original apng format to gif and both cases open fine the animation)

Both cases the apng animations are playing fine with XnView or a browser like Firefox plays both fine.

I'm sorry because I use your plugins to make extreme things.

Thanks, I can confirm that these anims can't be loaded by the APNG plugin. Will be fixed.

Thank you, the animations like the video formats are a complex world in formats and internal variants.
