Starting with version 8.5.2 the popular Notepad++ editor for Windows comes with inbuilt Hollywood support. As soon as you open a *.hws file, Hollywood syntax highlighting and formatting will be enabled. It's no longer necessary to install any 3rd party extension. Download the latest version of Notepad++ from here.

Hmm. Has anyone tried? For me version 8.5.3 does not recognise the .hws file (Language still is None). If I manually select Language/H/Hollywood then I get the functions marked as text block and I can fold it. But no syntax highlighting.

Yeah, I can confirm that updating from an old installation can cause problems. You need to uninstall and reinstall in order to make it work. Not sure what's causing this. Need to check.
