Hello Andreas, whereas there are wishes expressed for additional functionality, compiling to applets would be great. If you are giving it priority, please keep it that way? Any vague idea when such compilingwill be possible?

Compiling to applets is already possible. Just compile with exetype set to applet, e.g.

Hollywood myscript.hws -compile ram:myapplet.hwa -exetype applet

and voila! However, applets currently don't make too much sense because there's no external Hollywood player available. But this is planned

Yes indeed, i should have remembered that. It's 'givepriority to the Hollywood player" i should have plead for. So when is this player to be expected?

Depends. I still need to make up my mind about certain issues that are important before releasing a public player. But it shouldn't be that far away...
