Hello!
I have problems, playing mp3-files. A Simple "OpenMusic(1,"any.mp3") PlayMusic(1) Does not work anymore.
Even the example "HollyAMP" Does not open any mp3-file.
The mp3-file exists, and all plugins are installed.
The same mp3-file is played with multiview without any problems, so datatypes are installed, correctly, too.
Compiled Executables from older Scripts work correct, too.
But If I compile or execute a script, it is not able to play mp3-music. Error Message: Unsupported format.
I dont remember, that I changed anything on my system.
Could it be a bug in Hollywood 7.1? I never had problems, playing mp3 with hollywood so for.
Best regards!
Evil

Re: Problem with mp3-files
Which OS4 version? Is it a plain version or do you use A-EON's Enhancer software which replaces lots of OS components?
Re: Problem with mp3-files
I use the plain OS4 FE installation.
Due to a hd-Crash last days, I now have installed just the OS4 FE itself.
I just tried out Hollywood 7.0 now for testing purpose. Got the same problem with it... as mentioned on a blank os4.1 FE installation.
Of course, AVCodec is installed...
But, before your will invest to much time, let me try some other things out... I bet, the error is in front of the screen.... again....
Best regards!!
George, who will tell you the next days, if he finds out anything...

Re: Problem with mp3-files
Works again... Dont aks me why!!
What did I do?
As told before, I installed Hollywod 7.0, which did not help.
Then I overwrote it again with Hollywood 7.1, which I backed up before.
Then I overwrote libs:Hollywod with the libraries, which I had backed up some days ago (remember, I backed them up, after whe problem appears.)
Suddenly it works again...
I compared the two libs: directorys (before and after overwriting), but found no differences here. All libraries have exactly the same size in both drawers...
Two possible problems: As mentioned before, the problem is in front of the screen, or my Amiga is a beast...
Best regards!
George, who things, the problem is solved now and needs no longer to be investigated in...

Re: Problem with mp3-files
Note that very strange things can happen on OS4 because of OS4's new APPDIR: feature. If you ask me, this is a feature straight from hell That's why I instantly disabled it, here's how: http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz ... =14&t=3996
Re: Problem with mp3-files
I'll give it a try. Thanks!
