Re: Hollywood 5.2 released - 10th Anniversary Edition
@Juan Carlos:
Why do you have a file named "Hollywood" that is 148620 bytes in your Hollywood: assign? That is not part of the Hollywood installation. Did you rename the file "GUI" to "Hollywood"? This must not be done. If you mess with the Hollywood 5.0 installation, it's no surprise that the update fails. The cause for sesco's update failing was also a messed up Hollywood 5.0 installation.
@thread:
Please do not rename any files of the Hollywood 5.0 installation, otherwise the update can't work. I think this should be common sense to leave the Hollywood files as they are. So if you've got a problem with the update, please do a clean reinstall of Hollywood 5.0 and do not touch anything.

I don't know why the MOS installation have this file Hollywood is the executable instead of GUI as in OS3.9 and OS4.1, I though that MOS installation called Hollywood to executable, I'll try it, and thanks for your help Andreas.
I'm sorry I have installed the Amiga version in my three Amiga systems only to compile because I work with the Windows version.

Re: Hollywood 5.2 released - 10th Anniversary Edition
actually my 5.0 installation went great. I just renamed the GUI main exectable file because I don't like seeing 'GUI' on my WB under the Hollywood icon as it's akin to having the word 'icon' under an ICON no probelm as I'll try reinstalling 5.0 later today & hopefully I can upgrade to 5.2 nowAndreas wrote: @thread:

Because you renamed it. There is no other sensible explanation.Juan Carlos wrote: I don't know why the MOS installation have this file Hollywood is the executable instead of GUI as in OS3.9 and OS4.1

Re: Hollywood 5.2 released - 10th Anniversary Edition
Thanks you for your help Andreas, I found the problem and I renamed the file as GUI, as in MorphOS you can to put link aces in your desktop, ejem, when you change the name of this link also you change to name to the program, but I update the MOS and also the OS4 where the update was 30 minutes updating the Hollywood in my Sam460ex when under OS3.9 and MOS were both very fast.Andreas wrote:Because you renamed it.
