Yes, I'm very surprised with this strange cases the instructions under Windows work in a manner, under MorphOS of other and under OS4 the same situation, here I posted problems with the snapshot case that in MorphOS doesn't work but perfectly under Windows and OS4, but also with other instructions as the IsVideo or IsPicture, although every version is compiled for different systems, they work equal in all systems, because it is a little maddening, working in routines that under Windows work with very much work and after in MorphOS or AmigaOS4 works of other ways, for example the IsVideo under Windows recognizes jpg, and bmp pictures as videos but in MOS-OS4 not, and if I found a solution I have undo it because in the other system give problems.
But is the same, here we write about doubts or problems but nobody answer, only when we will buy the next version of Hollywood others 100 euros of spending, and for me that I buy the Windos version for the editor and the Amiga version to compiled the executables for PPC already is tired and bored, instead of new version to make magic, we need version that makes executables without problems....

You might be the only person who is not impressed by how well Hollywood scripts compile and run on different operating systems.

Re: Why the Hollywood instructions works as the lottery?
it isn't true, or both only make scripts for an only system? I could see problems with several instructions for example the IsVideo under Windows the jpg and bmp files this instruction takes this formats as video when under MOS and OS4 works fine.
But this is the big hypocrisy in Amiga world all goes well, the OS the programs, games, drivers, and when someone speak about them is the bad of movie, as in Spain pay and shut.
P.S.: And all people reporting bugs or doubts but only four are take in serius.

Any application that is written in a language that offers cross-platform compiling will always need some platform specific code to handle certain situations. If its true that IsVideo() accepts jpgs when compiled under Windows then that's a shame, however Windows is that shite you should be checking the file extension name anyway.
I recommend you use the appropriate command to determine the platform your application is running on and handle each target platform individually.

If you have something to ask and nobody answer maybe it's because:
1. No one has the same issues as you
2. No one have got the time to reply your question/make tests
That's simple, more over our community is really small, and personally I log here only once or twice a week, so please, calm down and try to ask your questions kindly first
If you think it's a bug just report it in the appropriate section with the file that the command does not recognize properly and for sure Andreas will try to fix it, where is the problem?
Just my 2 cents.
Hi Juan Carlos, I don't wanted to be too rude but just moaning isn't the way to go that's why I've agreed with PEB.But is the same, here we write about doubts or problems but nobody answer, only when we will buy the next version of Hollywood others 100 euros of spending, and for me that I buy the Windos version for the editor and the Amiga version to compiled the executables for PPC already is tired and bored, instead of new version to make magic, we need version that makes executables without problems....

Amiga world is a strange world you should know it, I've always been available to help when I've got time, so why you are using this rude sentences? But this is the big hypocrisy in Amiga world all goes well, the OS the programs, games, drivers, and when someone speak about them is the bad of movie, as in Spain pay and shut.

@Allanon
Good night, I know that my words are some rude, first, I'm sorry but it is desperate programming without a good support as books with examples, etc, and after strange problems with the same code in AmigaOS4, MorphOS, Windows and Android, routines and instructions that yes, works as the lottery.
Second, yes the big problem of Hollywood is the little community, because the other problem the Amiga users want the software free as Portable, the SDKs BliztBasic, etc., and also the problem perhaps is because the people unknow the possibilities of Hollywood and yes every update we pay them, although at least the plugins are free because are LUA portings.
Third, the reporting of bugs or problems, well, I did in the past but with the same result, as the problem only happen me, but curiosly when the problem is porting for someones and yes with codes, etc., the problem is resolved, is true that my problems are because I work in other way, perhaps we need a list of Hollywood users and our current proyects to two things the Amiga users know the Hollywood software and that to coincidence some problems are shared for example a list of files because someone is to programming a player and other a DM2 or filehandle.
About Andreas, I think that him is any disappointed with the Amiga users and the lack of response ordering copies of Hollywood Designer and Hollywood, but also we are always the same ones who pay, and for me already is tired, for it perhaps my rude words.
Because Amiga is an expensive hobby but I think that there are other alternatives.

@Juan Carlos: Most of your questions are very difficult to understand and I don't have the time to decipher them. It's really always a riddle to guess what the question is. Please try to phrase them much more carefully and you might get more responses.
