Hello Andreas,
activating both border and shadow from the "Object Optons" dialog for text that have a transition effect causes the shadow to appear by itself. It works as intended with scrolling effects for example, but not for many others.
Disabling the border option makes the shadow appear with the transition effect.
In the image linked you can see the shadow already displayed while the text is still zooming in the second title.
