This is solved now. It was caused by some paranoid anti-virus software blacklisting *.chm files downloaded from non-trustworthy sites :)

Downloaded RapaGui today and tried the .chm-file, did not work, looked in the event logs and I reported:
The description for Event ID 1 from source ITSS cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

C:\Users\fa\Downloads\RapaGUI_Win32(1)\RapaGUI\Docs\chm\RapaGUI.chm
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=45834
I followed the link and ended up at "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/896054"
Tried it out and it did not work unless I used "MaxAllowedZone"=dword:00000003 which is not recommended. (I guess the chm i fetching data from "http://www.hollywood-mal.com/docs/html/rapagui/"?)

So I "Googled" the internet and came up with this "http://superuser.com/questions/75571/vi ... -windows-7"

And I did:
1. Right clicked the "RapaGUI_Win32.zip" and choose "Properties"
2. Pressed the "Unblock" button and then "OK"
3. And extracted "RapaGUI_Win32.zip" to a new folder

Now the new chm-file works!?

No, it doesn't. The CHM doesn't have any remote references, it's a completely local copy of the guide and you don't need any Internet connection. No idea why some virus scanners are blocking those files... ask on a Windows forum, the CHM files are good :)

Although this is now resolved, just a hint in case it helps someone in the future:

Newer versions of Windows (from 7 onward I believe) block access to CHM files if they are located in a network drive. Only local CHM files are allowed to be opened.

I can not get that chm file to work either.
It will open, and show the list of Content and Index, but all pages apear blank here.
This is HollyWood 8, on Windows 7, 64 bit. And the RapaGUI.chm file is located in the c:\programfiles\hollywood\docs folder.
(tried copying it into c:\temp but the result is the same)
I use Immunet, which is a small ClamWin Antivirus program. I did try to add the HollyWood folder as well as the rapagui.chm file to the exclusion list, but it still doesnt work.

It works fine here on Windows 7. If it doesn't, then that's definitely because some third party software is blocking something...

I did set up HollyWood 8 on Windows7, 32bit (running on virtualbox), and here the RapaGUI help works perfectly.
