@Juan Carlos,
a test or demo version would certainly be useful to attract new users.
But I personally don't need something like that.
Of course, a bugfixed 8.0 version would have been nice.

But keep the following in mind:
-The update prices are very low.
-All pugins are free!

Yes, I am agree with you a demo or trial wiill bring new users with fresh and new ideas, also the free updates fixing bugs will be of big help and would create trust for new users and for old users, makes envy other cases where you have updates fixing bugs MorphOS is the big example.
The plugins are free but also is because here Hollywood will have a big problem, if they will of pay Who must pay for them? The programmers or the final users in this case the Amiga users would not use the Hollywood programs, this is a double-edged weapon.
In my case I have lost confidence in the product because are 15 years but I like the Amiga hobby not to earn money.
I like the Linux philosophy.

We know Hollywood for a lot of years and should be happy it still run on Amigas.
But mate...this car has breaks and airbags. And it is very comfortable. For sure it could have a few free fixes but in the overall experience is a fantastic car. ;)

I have not updated yet cos I have less money that a rat at this moment but will do when I can. I can live with version 8 but the great work from Andreas deserve the update.

My friend...try to relax a time. I feel you are a bit tired (normal with this covid shit)

Amiga rules!

This topic is for the great news that the most actively developed Amiga software has a new release. Please use the off-topic section of this board for personal thoughts.
I am really interested all about you, dear friends in Hollywood, but please keep in mind that a new user may be disturbed if the posts not cover the topic.

Please don't take it as harm, just a polite wish and let's discuss the problems in the right place.

Thank you!

Documentation confusion,

in one part of the documentation it has

SetBaudRate(id, baud)
Function
This command can be used to set the baud rate for the serial port connection specified in id. This serial port connection must have been opened using OpenSerialPort() before. You have to pass the desired baud rate in the baud parameter. This must be one of the following special constants:
#BAUD_300:
300 bits per second.
#BAUD_2400:
2400 bits per second.
#BAUD_4800:
4800 bits per second.
#BAUD_9600:
9600 bits per second.
#BAUD_19200:
19200 bits per second.
#BAUD_38400:
38400 bits per second.
#BAUD_57600:
57600 bits per second.
#BAUD_115200:
115200 bits per second.
#BAUD_460800:
460800 bits per second.

and elsewhere it has

baud = GetBaudRate(id)
Function
This command can be used to get the baud rate for the serial port connection specified in id. This serial port connection must have been opened using OpenSerialPort() before.
The return value will be one of the following special constants:

#BAUD_300:
300 bits per second.
#BAUD_600:
600 bits per second. (V9.0)
#BAUD_1200:
1200 bits per second. (V9.0)
#BAUD_2400:
2400 bits per second.
#BAUD_4800:
4800 bits per second.
#BAUD_9600:
9600 bits per second.
#BAUD_19200:
19200 bits per second.
#BAUD_38400:
38400 bits per second.
#BAUD_57600:
57600 bits per second.
#BAUD_115200:
115200 bits per second.
#BAUD_460800:
460800 bits per second.

is there 600 and 1200 baud rate?

Cheers

Just noticing that when installing it on AmiKit the last message in the installer have some text missing.
I think this is the border and font settings in AmiKit that makes the window to small for all the text.

Not a big issue, but is it anything important I missed in the last message?
