Sure, there's lots of stuff for Amiga users as well like the new network adapter plugin interfaces (will soon be used by a SSL/TLS plugin), serial port support, icon support, whole directories can be linked and monitored...

That new CallJavaMethod() sounds interesting, but as I have no Android developer knowldedge nor any JAVA experience so can't really
get the point.

Can somebody share a link where I could get some light about it?
Or maybe the documentation of the new APK Compiler will say more on this topic?

I just saw that the new Hollywood Player for Android is out and did a quick test with my AminetReadmeMaker (recompiled as applet with HW8).

It looks nice so far but the Text Editor object seems to have problems. Its always empty if I load a readme!?

Here is a link if someone wants to try it

@lazi: Thanks!

@bitRocky: I've just tested the "TextEditor" example that comes with RapaGUI and I can load and save text files just fine. Can you check if the "TextEditor" example works on your device as well? If it does, it should be pretty easy to find out why your AminetReadmeMaker doesn't work...

Put away the work (deadlines on Friday and coming Tuesday! Well, priorities have to be set...) to play a bit with Hollywood 8 - the new Android functions are real fun. What a pleasure to see all the programms running on my phone now...
A bit fine tuning is required to make everything smooth, though.
Well done!
