FLITE plugin

Maybe a good candidate for a future plugin is the X11 licenced portable Festival Speech Synthesis Sytem at here:

It is surely a huge amount of work and perhaps not too widely useable but it would be fun definitively.
It is sad that the old "say" command is retired by now even where it is pioneered for a standard and as I can see there is none standard implementation across systems.
Anybody thinks would it be useful?
