Post by 1Mouse » Tue Jun 26, 2012 1:05 pm

Hi all,

I have a bit of AmiBlitz code and wondered if it was possible to convert to Hollywood.

Difficult to say since I do not have AmiBlitz, maybe manually you can try to convert the code

I have a doubt about the speed of Hollywood vs Amiblitz for example. Can anyone make a test in differents areas to see how it respond?

There are ppl in differents forums that doesnt like Hollywood but I would like to prove that Hollywood is very capable(as we know).

Greetings.

Some things of code is impossible that runs with Hollywood because much functions use libs that work with customs chips and with the 68k processor, only part of code that not use the Amiga real machine for example the Eye Viewer is impossbile to convert to Hollywood because my brother used code 68k or that use 68l libraries.

It depends on the code. Certain functionality of AmiBlitz is not available in Hollywood but most AmiBlitz should be portable to Hollywood. You might have to replace some custom chipset depending code with corresponding Hollywood calls, though.
