Bug with text object?

Post by Tarzin »

- Open a new project
- Add a text obect
- copy and paste the same object (A + c / A +v)

2 text objects are present in Designer

Now,
- rename first text obect in (by example) "text / black" (without "" of course)
- rename second text object in "text / white"

Select an object and change color text, validate and ..
Text obect's name become "text". "/ black" o u "/ white" will disappear.

Strange or normal?

Could be a bug in Designer 2.1... it works correctly with 3.0 :)

Hi Andreas!

Are you sure this is fixed? I have experienced the same on my version of Hollywood.

Please try the following:

1) make a textobject with the content "This is a test" - (the object will automaticly get the same name)
2) rename the textobject to "blablalba" in the object-manager
3)enter the textobject , and then simply press "OK" without do any changes

In my version of Designer the textobject will once again get back its name "This is a test" as this is the content of the textobject.

This is intended behaviour... every time you acknowledge the "Edit text" dialog, the text object will be remade and it will get a new name even if nothing has changed :)

I think Tarzin meant something different... I guess he changed the text color using the color dialog, not the text dialog.
