How to avoid hws files being locked in windows 7?

This is probabaly more to do with Windows operating system, but since this is starting to bother me a lot lately when using Hollywood, i thought maybe ask this here.

Thing is, it seems that quite many of my codes have been locked in windows 7, and there are even different ways it might be locked, these two however are the most annoying.

1. File is hidden and wont show up when using "Show hidden files" - option in Windows.

2. File is partially locked, i can see version made in march but not the most recent version, except if i load it to Hollywood, this is the most annoying case since if i try to copy that file, instead of copying the most recent file, it might copy the version saved in march.

If i want to make a backup copy of my code, what i need to do, is to use "save as" and save it to desktop, then it will not lock it. if i save it to my "hollywood programs" folder that i have created for my hollywood programs, then it locks and maybe even hides it.

How can i prevent this? Can i click on the "hollywood programs" folders image and choose some option to make it prevent from locking these files?

Also, How do i get it to show these hidden locked files? I just updated to hollywood 6 and when i went to try open my old code, it wouldnt show it on the folder at all, it showed it empty from any .hws files. luckily, when i started it again using the old icon, it opened old programs automatically, and also shows them on folder when using for example "save as". But when i try to go through resource management, it shows empty and i dont know how to make them visible, since using "start-control panel-show hidden files and folders" option doesnt make them visible.

Sorry, I don't understand. What exactly do you mean by "locked files"? Are you storing your sources in C:\Program Files or somewhere else? If you store your sources in C:\Program Files they will be redirected to the virtual store which can cause quite some confusion. The best idea is to store your projects somewhere else, e.g. in your home directory etc.

aw... All this time i thought i had made subdirectory for my hollywood programs to different place, but now that i check, my "hollywood programs" - folder is actually residing inside "c:Program files".

I will resave my priograms to where i thought that folder was, that i suppose, will fix that problem finally.

Yup, starting with the next version Hollywood will run in properly privileged mode on Windows Vista and up so these problems should be gone then anyway.
