ARexx compatibility quiestion...

Post by Tuxedo »

Hi ALL!
I've tryed to compile the new LoView version released for AmigaOS4.x last month for AROS OS3.x and MOS too...
At that time without further investigation (I'm currently busy), the only version that works right was the 3.x...
Any reported problem of compatibility from AOS/MOS/AROS ARexx verions?
I just using the ARexx ports to communicate from my programs...

No issues known... just try the ARexx example that comes with Hollywood. It should work everywhere! (well, except on Windows & Mac obviously :))

Remember that AREXX is not included within MorphOS and you must copy the AREXX/REXX libraries from your AmigaOS3.x CD to get full AREXX functionality within MorphOS2.x. It might be the same for AmigaOS4.x, but I am not a user of such and don't know for sure.

Just to leet you know, recently has been fixed AROS regina.library, this means no more crashes when using ARexx & Hollywood on AROS :D

Yes I noticed that :)

Now LoViewThumb works nicely also under AROS :)

That was really good news for cross-porting Hollywood apps between Amiga-like OSes without changing (near)anything :D
