Re: Hollywood 7: Eternity out now!
Hi My problem with running GL Galore on an X1000 with HW7 seems to be solved. After switching to a newer graphics card (RadeonHD R7 250X 1Gb) it worked. The old Radeon HD 6570 seems to have issues with the new drivers though. Well... back to the keyboard to play around some more with HW7 ;) regards ...

Re: Hollywood 7: Eternity out now!
Hi It could well be, that the latest graphics driver and the recent FE update has something to do with my problem, as you suggest. I deleted the existing installation of Hollywood completely and reinstalled it, and I continue to have the error described on my X1000. I also dug up my old SAMep440ep a...

Re: Hollywood 7: Eternity out now!
Hi I have just installed HW7 on my X1000. I can see that there are new versions of some plugins and extras like the APK compiler etc. What concerns me is that all programs with GL Galore fails to work. There seems to be an issue with opening screens. If I run a program like 'Simple' from the GUI in ...

Re: Speed improvement guidelines
Hi A couple of years ago I wrote an article on the subject (Speeding up Hollywood programs). I don't have the link to the website, where it was published anymore. But it provides some ideas for simple things to do that can pay off nicely. I think I found the draft, and it is included here below... -...

Protect bit setting for Amiga Plugins
Hi I am not sure if this is a bug at all, or there may be some reason for it, and besides I dont' thing it makes much difference .... Anyway, here we go...after having updated to HW 6.1 I loaded all the current 21 plugins for the Amiga and installed them using the provided installer program. When I ...

Re: Hollywood APK Compiler 1.0 released
Hi
What are the chances of a 'glgalore.hwp' for Android? I notice that there is currently no plugin version listed on the download page. So running programs with OpenGL/glgalore code on the tablet is obviously not possible. But is it in the cards?
regards
Jesper

Re: Hollywood 6.1 released
Hi Thanks for the link to the older version of the NDK. Compilations now work, and they run on my Asus TF700 Android tablet. Wellllll.... actually the first test produced an amusing message from the compiler: "Hollywood applet too small" Bu then, perhaps a 'Hello World' program is really t...

Re: Hollywood 6.1 released
Hi I run a Win10, 64bit installation with Hollywood 6.1. Installation of APK compiler was done as indicated in the manual, except that i installed the complete Android Studio and then used the standalone manager as suggested from there. Anyway that seems to be ok. All other installation steps are co...

Oddity when printing from Win10 and a solution
Hi I have encountered an oddity when printing from the Windows IDE of Hollywood 6.0 using a HP CP4025 Laser Jet. This only happens on a PC with Win10, but not on another PC with Win7. Win7 works with no configuration to the printer setup. Printing from other applications do work in Win10 however, so...

Re: Prevent a sprite (which follows the mouse) out of a circ
Hi Just a thought... May be you can sort of reverse the problem and create a bigger circular sprite as a sort of zone. If they collide - you are inside the zone and all is well. I guess it should work though I haven't tried. It has the advantage that the 'zone' sprite can be moved around easily if t...
