Re: Exutil - an exif based batch renaming utility
Exutil updated to V1.0. It's now, at least more or less, the RapaGUI program I thought of for this exercise. New: supports English and German, files can get renamed now by selection from thumbnails, quite some itches and glitches removed. If you wanna try out: http://via.i-networx.de/Exutil/about.ht...

Exutil - an exif based batch renaming utility
I realized V0.10 of Exutil - a small utility to batch rename pictures by date sorted names based on Exif date information or by file's date with an integrated thumbnail viewer. This is _not_ a killer app, but my playground to get familiar with RapaGUI (earlier versions used MUI Royale). V0.10 is the...

Re: IsPicture on virtual file derived from a RAM: file
Digged a bit around and found a MorphOS 3.6 CD to boot off from (with 3.9 boot.img from hd then). The crash does _not_ happen then. I think we can say it's a problem on my particular set up then. I thought - still think - my system is rather clean and not messed up too much, but I'll dig into that. ...

Re: IsPicture on virtual file derived from a RAM: file
Have you tried it on MorphOS? Crashes with the pictures you used here, too. But it seems to be an issue with the MorphOS binary. The same script but compiled for 68k runs w/o that bug on MorphOS. I put a MorphOS-binary for testing here The bug hapens on both MorphOS machines I tested: Powerbook and ...

Re: IsPicture on virtual file derived from a RAM: file
Hmm, sounds weird. Can you upload a complete demo script (with a sample image) that I can just run and try here? Here's a short working demo program (a very basic thumbnail viewer) showing this behaviour: @DISPLAY {Width = 880, Height = 600, Color = #WHITE} kx=0 mytemppath$="ram:" ; does ...

IsPicture on virtual file derived from a RAM: file
I found a small oddity that leads to a hard crash (application is mediating) (at least on MorphOS). The follwing code fragment my_thumb = DefineVirtualFile(mythfile$, thumbstart$, thumbend$-thumbstart$, "thumbnail.jpg") ret_val, table=IsPicture(my_thumb) crashes if executed more than ten t...

Hurra - ich wachse!
I just released V2.0 of "Hurra - ich wachse!" which is a managing app for body measures/seizes for children aged 0 - 18 years. You can record data for body height, weight, head girth, skinfolds, hip and waist as well as for blood pressure. Additionally the program calculates the body mass ...

Re: Android: trouble with SwiftKey
Thanks for having looked into it. Seems weird, but probably not too important. It's good to know that it is only an Android 5 issue. As long as I can assume Swiftkey and Hollywood is compatible on other Android versions that's okay, for Android 5 users I add a note. For _my_ taste Swiftkey is too mu...

Re: Kind of Showtoast for non Android devices
A very small change to make the faketoast non blocking: Function p_faketoast(my_ftstring$, Xpos$, YPos$) SetFillStyle (#FILLCOLOR) SetFont(#SANS, 20) SetFontColor (#WHITE) CreateTextObject (1000, my_ftstring$) Local xftoff$=40 Local yftoff$=16 Local ftwidth$=GetAttribute (#TEXTOBJECT,1000, #ATTRWIDT...
