Re: Callback functions don't like ':'

Globals are bad things!!! ;) I'm sure there is a way to work with : and callback functions, maybe using a method to install and disinstall events on your objects, something like: MyObject = Object:New() ... MyObject:InstallEvent(OnMouseMove) ... MyObject:Disinstall(OnMouseMove) Just an idea, I'm not...

Re: Automatic Id question...

Let me understand better: you say that in the following code my_brush = CreateBrush(Nil, 100, 100) ... my_brush = CreateBrush(Nil, 200, 150) the second brush creation should free the first one because you have used the same variable (my_brush)? I think it's not really handy this approach... more aut...

Re: Callback functions don't like ':'

Hello, I think it's because if you write x:cheese is the same as writing cheese(x) so your code SetTimeOut(Nil,x:cheese,1000) is the same as SetTimeOut(Nil, cheese(x), 1000) Right now I've no time to deeply check what you can do to resolve your problem, but the error you get is caused by passing the...

Re: Open and CloseDisplay() question....

Try installing the event handler on close window event when the Display 2 is active, in this way you will attach the event handler to the display 2, many events works in this way, like for the resize event and the move event. This way you can "trap" the close event in your function and you can manua...

Re: Problem with Quakelaunch on Aros

Hello Murmel,
Andreas surely will answer about your problem, but from the screenshots seems you are using the old 0.6 beta, if you have Hollywood 4.5 I suggest you to try the latest ScuiLib 0.7 WIP that is quiet stable and have a lot of new features and fixes, as stated here.

Re: MP3 Playback on AROS

Andreas wrote:MP3s are currently not supported on AROS due to licensing issues (the mpega.library of AROS contains code that is under the GPL and thus must not be used by a commercial program like Hollywood). Please use mplayer on AROS instead.
Ok, thank you Andreas

Re: LoadBrush() from data$ ????

No Tuxedo you have explained well, but I was thinking that you could define a virtual file representing the thumbnail, then you can load it as a brush, just to explain things suppose your image has the following format (just inventing, I don't know where the thumbs are stored inside jpg images): Ima...
