Normally major updates have to be paid for but there have also been exceptions, for example the 4.5 to 4.7 upgrade was free albeit a major one.

A fully featured network library with lowlevel TCP/UDP access as well as easy functions for downloading from HTTP and FTP sources and uploading to FTP is coming with the next version.

The MorphOS version doesn't use any optimizations which could cause this so the only explanation is that the MorphOS core components are faster than their OS4 counterparts.

It's a known bug. The problem is that all accented keys involve two key events... this is currently not handled correctly but it's planned to correct this.

Yes, just use SelectDisplay() to redirect all calls like MakeButton(), DisplayBrush() etc. to a certain display. It will interact nicely with the other windows.

The code is much too long, please try to break it down to an absolute minimum. In your code there are dozens of things that could cause problems, that's why I always need absolutely minimal source snippets. I specify a display 1024x768, does that include the title bar and the surrounding edges? No, ...

That's easily possible. Check CreateDisplay() and OpenDisplay().
