Re: MacOS Binaries

No idea how this works on Mac OS, ask Google :) On Windows the path to the desktop is stored somewhere in the registry and you can use ReadRegistryKey() to find that out. To create a shortcut on the desktop, you can use the CreateShortcut() function. Both functions are only available in the Windows ...

Re: 2 Questions about BGPic-Function

That's normal behaviour. In the future there will be a special copy mode that will allow you to choose which pixels should be copied when drawing to offscreen destinations. If you do not want transparent pixels to be copied, you need to copy the image manually and use ReadPixel() on the alpha channe...

Re: 100% Volume is not 100% Volume

That MP3 that crashes Hollywood is very likely to be the fault of mpega.library because it crashes with other programs too that use mpega.library for playback. The OS4 version of mpega.library is pretty ancient (it's from the year 2004). Try to remove all unnecessary tags from the MP3 like APEv2 tag...

Re: 2 Questions about BGPic-Function

How to create an offscreen BGPic? Is the meaning of offscreen here, drawing to a non-visible-area (left, top, down, right of the actual screen) or is this something like a double-buffered area? The Manual didn't describe this and even the Example of BGPic there doesn't work and ends up with a "Didn...

Re: Simple effect and maybe a bug ?

Tested it on MorphOS 2.7 and it's working fine. Maybe it's a bug in 1.4? I don't have a 1.4 system anymore so I can't test it there.

Re: Hollywood on different systems speed comparison...

No, this would have to be done in C or Assembler.

Re: Simple effect and maybe a bug ?

On what OS's did you try this? Does it only happen on one specific OS or on multiple ones?

Re: 2 Questions about BGPic-Function

Create an offscreen BGPic and then draw to it using SelectBGPic() together with #SELMODE_COMBO so that all drawing commands render to the color and alpha channel of the BGPic. When you're finished preparing your BGPic in this way, simply call EndSelect() and DisplayBGPic() to bring it to the front.

I don't have any but it wouldn't be hard to write one.
