Re: SHA/MD5 digest algorithm

Currently, Hollywood doesn't support other checksums than CRC32 so you'd have to implement Md5/SHA on your own. It's possible but it will be rather slow (especially on large files). Just get some example code and adapt it to work with Hollywood. Making CLI programs with Hollywood is not recommended,...

Re: Linux Executable

Just as on Amiga, no extension is required on Linux. But you must make sure that the file has the 'execute' permission. Otherwise it won't run. You can use the 'chmod' command to change file permissions on Linux.

Re: Possible bug in DisplayBGPicPart()

That's a known issue. I currently have to keep this behaviour because the Malibu plugin uses -1 as a special value to indicate that dstx/y should be equal to srcx/y. Choosing -1 as a 'magic' value was of course not very clever but currently Malibu still relies on it so I have to keep this behaviour.

Re: problems with the audio channel

Ok, then please send me the *.hwd file so I can have a look what's wrong there. The executable doesn't help much. I need to see the Designer project.

Re: Event Handler with some keys

%KEYDOWN is a very old Hollywood 1.x style function. You shouldn't use this in new scripts. It's only there for compatibility reasons.

Re: @APPVERSION

Seems to be a bug in the OS4 C:Version command. It works fine on MorphOS and if you look into the executable then you will see that the version string is present. No idea why C:Version doesn't find it. Please report to OS4 team.

This GIF anim works here. The user might have an incompatible datatype installed. Hollywood can load this anim just fine.

Re: GetCommandLine() on Windows?

GetCommandLine() works on Windows but not for your purpose. The problem is that GetCommandLine() only returns arguments that are passed to the app in the form of hyphenated arguments, i.e. myapp.exe filename -arg1 val1 -arg2 val2 -arg3 val3 GetCommandLine() will handle -arg1 to -arg3 just fine but n...
