Re: How to properly release something out to the wild

Maybe we should approach Andreas to change Hollywoods plug in loader to a behaviour that Hollywood only loads the plugins actually listed by @require? That wouldn't be good, because some of the plugins are like datatypes, and user can add them to get programs support new formats without having to g...

Re: trying to get cells name from table and make that cell be empty table

I would do it like this, if I understood what you're after... table_names = {"Andreas", "Allanon", "SamuraiCrow"} table_another = {} table_another[table_names[0]] = {} DebugPrint(ListItems(table_another["Andreas"])) ; Works DebugPrint(ListItems(table_another.Andreas)) ; Fails If you want to use "tab...

Re: How to properly release something out to the wild

I have taken an approach to bundle all the required plugins in the program directory that I distribute. Hollywood finds them there and no installation is needed. I personally don't want the plugins to be installed globally, because then they get loaded by all Hollywood programs even though they won'...

Re: Hollywood 8: Supremacy out now!

I don't know if there are many users outside Amiga community using Hollywood, or has it got any coverage on mainstream media, but I would see it'd be important to get more users there. It doesn't matter on which platform users are and it would benefit us all. Maybe we could try to help to spread the...

Re: WaitLeftMouse takes 4 seconds to react on m68k

I tried your example on my A1200/060/P96 machine, and didn't notice any delays. The two lines printed instantly when I clicked around.

Re: Notify on window resize?

If there's a Hollywood display embedded in your GUI, you just have to listen to the normal "SizeWindow" event for the Hollywood display and then you should be notified about size changes :) And if there isn't a Hollywood display, any way then? I just recently wanted to scale an MUI (Royale) image i...

Re: Refresh issue when dynamically changing objects in a non active window

Yeah, well.. it seems to refresh the window on any event, so I made a workaround like this now "SetTimeout(Nil, Function() EndFunction, 10)" just to trigger some event :)

Refresh issue when dynamically changing objects in a non active window

I think this might be a MorphOS bug and reported there, but as I haven't got any feedback from MorphOS team yet, I thought to ask what Andreas thinks about it too. If it'd be something in Hollywood after all... If I change objects in a group in a MUI window dynamically, and the window isn't active, ...

Re: Popobject class missing

Do you mean Group.PageMode or something else? The mentioned one does work and I've used it in several occasions, like for example in this prefs window.

Re: capture cli output

No, I think what you're doing is the best way to capture CLI output with Hollywood. Would it be possible to implement an event handler that would get triggered always when a program started with the Run() command would output something? RunOutput or such... it would be handy when creating GUIs for ...
