Re: SIze of display ?

Hollywood opens a 640x480 display by default always if you haven't defined otherwise. Use the @DISPLAY preprocessor to configure it to other dimensions etc as suggested. Or if you don't want it to open initially, use the Hidden tag. You can also check its dimensions with the GetAttribute command in ...

Re: System console output

Thanks! That was a good tip. Another option is to print like this: Echo=Function(string) Execute("echo \""..ReplaceStr(string,"\n","*N").."\"") EndFunction But the problem with these workarounds is that they aren't universal and will fail on other platforms. I've just loved the way that DebugPrint d...

Re: Cracktro

But for a split second it displays the desktop on a small (default, 640x480?) resolution, before going fullscreen. Yeah, if you don't define bgpic in the display preprocessor, it opens always in 640x480 window first. That's why I put the Hidden=True in my example, to not show the window until we ha...

Re: Cracktro

Ok, I misunderstood how it was fixed, it's actually the wanted behaviour that desktop display will be always on top, and it was added to work so on other platforms too. You have to use the grab desktop way I described here to have two Hollywood windows (desktop + effect) over each other: http://foru...

Re: Cracktro

After today's update (7.1), Display 2 (the actual cracktro) dissapeared even on MorphOS. Or to place it differently, Display 1 remains always on top. Yeah, it should be fixed under Windows now, but it seems to bug on MorphOS instead :/ Check here: http://forums.hollywood-mal.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t...

Re: Desktop=True issue on Windows... and now on MorphOS

This became a problem under MorphOS with 7.1 now :( A Desktop=True window will stick as "allways on top" window on MorphOS, just the same way it did on Windows.

Setting AlwaysOnTop=False doesn't help either.

Re: System console output

Although now when the debug output is disabled by default for compiled programs (since 7.1, and with some good reasons), I'm also wondering what command should I use to print text to the console :) I have commandline support for almost all of my programs, and I've just been using DebugPrint to displ...

Re: Desktop=True issue on Windows

The original issue was that you can't bring second Hollywood display in front of Desktop=True display by your code. On MorphOS you can, but on Windows you can't. I then noticed that it is more general issue and you can't bring any window to front on Windows by alt-tab or any other means. And on Amig...

Desktop=True issue on Windows

You probably missed this bug suspicion in a big thread here , so I'll lift it here. It seems that the Desktop=True option for the display makes the Hollywood window to stay front all the time on Windows machines (it doesn't happen for example on MorphOS). If you run for example this: @DISPLAY 1, {De...
