Re: Hollywood IDE

Sorry, but that's not going to happen because there's no easy way to detect which scripts are accompanied by XML files. I was also thinking about that recently. Couldn't a preprocessor option like #APPXML be added so you can "link" the xml files if you want and then the Hollywood GUI can open those...

Re: MHE NG 1.1

Hi ArtBlink,

are you still developingMHE NG? I just gave it a try after a long time and got this error:

Attribute "pen" not recognized for this class!
File: MHE-NG.hws (current line: 1801 - In function: Set)

This is with HW7 and MOS3.9. I hope you will continue developing it!

Re: OpenCatalog

Platform-independent catalogs in plain text format are only supported by Hollywood and thus must not be copied to LOCALE:Catalogs because this would confuse other programs. Understood, thanks for the clarification. I got it working now but seems to be a bug with catalan language. I have a small scr...

Re: Catalogs in RapaGui

@airsoftsoftwair that is too complex for me now. But I found a solutions that is working nicely for the small GUIs I'm writing now and simpler than the one posted before for using an xml file for each language that have a catalog. /**** Read GUI file ****/ ;detect system's language, change ;encoding...

Re: Catalogs in RapaGui

Possibly you have some special characters like german "ä" "ö" or french accents in your xml-file?? No special characters. I tried only with english as default and english catalog too. The catalog table with the strings works when the string variables are called inside the HW script for each corresp...

Re: OpenCatalog

You need to use a "Catalogs" subdirectory, e.g. "Catalogs/français/convi.catalog" or "Catalogs/french/convi.catalog". Did you do that? Ok, I thought that was only for non Amiga systems, as written in the guide. I was using the LOCALE:catalogs drawers. It works now using the current drawer. Thanks! ...

Re: Fade out music

You need to assign an ID for the MP3 in the sound dialog, e.g. "MYMUSIC". Then you can access this music by using the %@MYMUSIC wildcard, e.g. like this: ... Note the Wait() call. If you don't use a short delay, the fade will be so fast that it won't be noticeable and the music will just stop right...
