Re: Flushing a tree

My real Scenario is more complex, but I stripped it down to a simple example: gui.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?> <application id="app"> <window height="400"> <vgroup> <treeview id="tv"> <column/> </treeview> </vgroup> </window> </application> main program @DISPLAY {hidden=True} @REQ...

Before expla...

Re: multiplayer over the network

You cannot. But CreateServer has a 2nd argument. You can set a port number as you wish. (later you can migth want to make it configurable).

Re: multiplayer over the network

Though 0.0.0.0 is a valid IP address, it has a special meaning, It means not only local host but also: only available locally. Thus calling it is only possible from the same machine. If you run your client code on the same computer, you will be successful in connecting. When you try to connect from ...

Re: traverse order of ForEach

As I frequently read in this forums and couldn't remember any similiar topic I didn't search a lot. But after reading your posts I found quite some threads and the answers there. It is a known problem and will unlikely change. Thus I have to use less readable classic FOR statements (with these well ...

traverse order of ForEach

I wonder if this is a bug or intentional ? Program is: lov={1,2,3,4,5} For Local i=0 To ListItems(lov)-1 DebugPrint("lov[" .. i .. "]=" .. lov[i]) Next DebugPrint("-------------") ForEachI(lov,Function(p_index,p_value) DebugPrint("lov[" .. p_index .. "]=" .. p_value) EndFunction) DebugPrint("-------...

Re: Hollywood manual now available in German

Hmm.. so when we do get the updated (English) HTML manual for 7.0? I prefer to read documentation in HTML, but it's 6.1 at the home page and at least Amiga archive does contain only PDF and AmigaGuide versions... Yes, HTML doc is more readable. The English Version seems to be included only in the H...

Re: Meta Info on Hollywood vars at runtime ?

Hmm thanx for the hint, might indeed be dangerous. You wonder why I wanted to do this. It has a background: I have a lib (actually a table). It offers some methods to the user (=developer using my lib). I want to give the user the possibility to extend the lib by adding new methods. He shall only pr...
