RapaGUI, Texteditor.SetColor on Android (Bug)

When I use Texteditor.SetColor on my Amiga, it works correctly---it inserts the code to change the text to the specified color, and also inserts the code to change back to the original color for the text that follows the selection. However, when I try the same code on Android, Texteditor.SetColor on...

Re: How to get a Debug Output window on Android

If you have a RapaGUI display open, you could use something like this: Function p_DebugOutput(DebugStr$) moai.CreateDialog([[<dialog id="DebugOutput" title="Debug Output:"> <vgroup> <label>]]..DebugStr$..[[</label> </vgroup> </dialog>]]) moai.DoMethod("DebugOutput", "showmodal") EndFunction

Re: Mobile Support Functions with RapaGUI

Just tried it, and it works.
Thanks!
(I really should have thought to try that myself.)

Re: Mobile Support Functions with RapaGUI

Is there a way to detect when the user changes the orientation?

Trygin to catch the OrientationChange through InstallEventHandler() doesn't seem to work with RapaGUI on Android.

Re: Change in How Run() and Execute() Work in Android

Thanks for looking into this.

I've experimented with trying to use Run() and Execute() to call Android's built-in package installer; but I haven't had any success so far. (It seems like that should be possible, though.)

Light and Dark Theme Switch Option

I really like how the new APK Compiler gives the option of compiling the app using a light or a dark theme. Would it be possible to add an option within Hollywood to switch between light and dark themes at runtime? (It would be nice if the user could have the option of choosing a preferred theme wit...

Change in How Run() and Execute() Work in Android

In the previous version of Hollywood for Android, I could download an .apk file from my server and install it programmatically using Run(). But now I get this message:
"Cannot find viewer for extention *.apk!"

Is there a different way that the package installer needs to be called now?

Re: Saving a files on Android

You need to specify the Table field that you want (such as: t.InternalStorage).

The following should work on your Amiga:

Code: Select all

t = GetSystemInfo()
DebugPrint(t.Preferences)
DebugPrint(t.TempFiles)

Re: Double Click event

On Android you'd probably want a long-press event instead.

GetAsset() with the Hollywood Player

If I try loading a brush using GetAsset() in an applet to be run through the Android Hollywood Player, I get an error saying that the image file cannot be found (even though the image has been copied into the auto-created directory associated with that applet). If I load the brush without GetAsset()...
