Problem solved! After installing DirectX 9.0c the error message went away and the program runs perfectly on Windows 2000.

Thanks PEB. I think I'll just disable Hollywood's error handler with ExitOnError ( False ). I was trying to make my program to close quietly when error occurs, but it looks like it cannot be done.

Oh, ok. One bug less then :)
I didn't noticed that the transparency wasn't working. It's a "wait animation" and played on a blank black screen. Apparently Hollywood replaced the transparent colour with black and that's why it looked fine.
