Command syntax...

Post by Tuxedo »

Hi!
I noticed that sometimes the command syntax was a bit different from a command to another...
For example the ScaleBrush command can get the new image size or the pecentage of zoom to apply..

The RotateBrush instead can get only percentage values and no sizes...

That was meesy because if you want to rotate and scale a brush was not so simple. for example, maintain the aspect ratio and/or get the exact size you want while scaling...

So you have to rotate and than scale the brush as you like with the two separate command...

Same thing happne on other command that have a syntax but maybe another in tables for example...
Can that be unified in a single syntax? There's a particular reason if the things works that way?

Thank you!

That's not possible because as soon as rotation comes into play, it's not easily possible to scale to a pixel-perfect size. There will always be some inaccuracies. But that shouldn't be a problem really... if you really need a perfect pixel size, you can use a clip region when drawing the brush.
