OpenURL on local files?

Is it possible to open local files (files on my hard drive) with OPENURL ?
A500 / A600 / A1200 / SAM440
WinUAE OS3.9 (AmiKit) / OS4.1FE (FlowerPot)

Should be possible if you specify the path to the file using the "file://" prefix. Don't forget to escape special characters like spaces etc. using the % token.
